About CAPF
CAPF (Central Armed Police Forces) exam is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) once in a year to induct candidates as an Assistant Commandant in Central Paramilitary forces (BSF, CISF, ITBP, CRPF, SSB). Notification for the CAPF exam generally comes in the month of April and the written exam is conducted in the month of August (tentative).
Selection Procedure
It’s a three stage procedure first UPSC conducts written exam and those candidates who clear the written exam calls for the physical efficiency test and those who clears the PET test calls for the Interview taken by the UPSC. Then Final Merit list is prepared for those candidates who clear all the stages subjected to vacancies and medical exam.
Training
Basic training 12 months at NISA, Hyderabad followed by 4 weeks of commando course and 3 weeks of sector specific training.
Eligibility
Educational Qualification : Graduation Passed or in final year of Graduation Course.
Gender : Both male & female
Age : Between the age of 20 and 25
