About Navy SSR
Indian Navy conducts this exam twice in a year to recruit Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR), Matric Recruit (MR), Musician (MUS), Sports Entry and Artificer Apprentices (AA) to select sailors in Indian Navy. Notification for the exam generally comes in the month of March & July and the exam is conducted generally in the month of May & October.
Selection Procedure
Indian Navy first shortlist candidates based on the percentage in board examinations (10+2 examination). Because vacancies are distributed on a state-by-state basis, the cut-off marks may differ from one state to the next. Those students who got shortlisted called for written examination, thereafter those who clears the written examination calls for the PET (Physical Efficiency Test) and the then final merit list is prepared after the medical result.
Training
22 weeks Basic Training at INS Chilka followed by Professional training in the allotted trade in various Naval Training Establishments. Branch/ Trade will be allocated as per the requirement of Service.
Eligibility
Educational Qualification : Qualified in 10+2 examination with Maths & Physics and at least one of these subjects Chemistry/ Biology/ Computer Science from the Boards of School Education recognised by Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.
Age : 17-20 years (Both male and female are eligible)

What OTS (Officers Training School) offers?
OTS offers 2 year school cum coaching integrated course for the class 10 passed students in which we prepare students for the air force Navy SSR exam along with the schooling of class 11 & 12. The 2 years residential course consisting of an exhaustive and varied curriculum is designed to coach and train students to ace Navy SSR along with exhaustive PET Preparations.
We also offers 100 days short duration course for Navy SSR. We recommend this course for only those whose Class 12 math and physics basics are clear otherwise it become difficult to cover whole maths and science syllabus with basics within short duration course.
