About UPSC CSE
CSE (Civil Services Examination) is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) once in a year. Notification for CSE generally comes in the month of February and preliminary exam generally held in the month of June. UPSC conducts CSE Exam for recruitment to various Civil Services (All Indian Services, Group A Civil Services, Group B Civil Services) of the Government of India. CSE exam is very coveted and popular exam for the aspirants who aspires to become IAS, IPS, IFS etc
Selection Procedure
First Step : Preliminary Exam
Second Step : Mains Exam
Third Step : Interview
Final Merit list is prepared after all the three stages and services are allocated to candidates subjected to rank and choice of the candidates.
Training
In LBSNAA, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, NAAA (Shimla), National Institute of Financial Management etc, subjected to the service allotted to the candidate.
Eligibility
The candidate must hold a degree from Government recognised Universities or possess an equivalent qualification. Candidates who are in their final year or awaiting results are also eligible to appear for UPSC preliminary Examination.
Age : 21 – 32 years (Relaxation for reserved categories)
